I've always wanted a Scooter or Go-Cart as a kid.

Go-Carts are so much fun!!

Vespa's are getting sold like hot-cakes due to gas prices.
For getting about the city and streets.

I think they are acceptable in Europe, with narrower streets.
Europeans are more refined.. practical..

Any one lucky enough to have a Go-Cart as a kid?
What a great Hobby!
Fun and Mechanical...

Vespa stories?

Some of he first scooters were "Cubs" that Mr. Honda I believe began making in WWII, when there was an extreme gas shortage. He designed it for himself, for errand running. Next thing, everyone wanted one! (*nice History bit*)
They were quick and fuel efficient.
just strap on a small motor to a skate board and handle.  Afro
He couldn't make enough.

I never owned a scooter...always envious of those among my friends who did.

These days I could buy one but they are fairly expensive over here...and you can only use them for about 6 months a year due to the weather.  Angry

if you have the money for a scooter, go out and buy a bike, they are a lot more fun and can move if you want them to... i've put together a lot of scooters from crates, and gotten to test drive them, and most have very little amount of power... i remember this one, i put it together, drive it around in the parking lot, and then i was like, i wonder if i can spin the tires... so i put my feet down and hold the throttle wide open, not only did it not move forward, it didnt even spin the tire...
