Anyone know much about CSS style coding?

I'm trying to completely customize a MySpace account for our graduating class of '06  .  MySpace.com is an HTML based web service that allows users to express themselves online on their very own web page.  Accounts are free and you're allowed to do whatever you want to the profile as long as you abide by the Terms of Service, and have a deep knowledge of <div> overlays, and <style type="text/css> kind of coding.

I'm getting pretty good with the HTML, but the CSS is completely new to me.

Anyone wanna help explain it?
