Has anyone read '1984' by George Orwell?  Wink

'1984'
was amazingly great and was relevant in society (ie: 'Big Brother' being created as a reality show on t.v)
I wish there was a sequel to '1984' and I should invest in actually seeing the movie as well...
This post was most likely pointless but if anyone loves '1984' then I guess this serves as a means of declaring your love for Winston.

I read 1984 when I was at high school, and I quite liked the book.  I haven't seen the movie, though, so let me know if it's any good.

Have you read Orwell's Animal Farm?

Animal Farm was Ok..

I prefered Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World".

Same premise as 1984.. Same reality about to happen sometime soon as well...  Shocked
Just prescribe me "Soma", and I'll let teh wealthy elite government walk all over ...........

As always, the movie is nowhere near as good as the book, but definitely worth the watch (even if only for the nude scene  Grin )

I remember when 1984 seemed way in the future.  Now it seems way in the past.  Time is weird!
