Just finished watching Antiques Roadshow; what a hoot! I thought at first to make this an antiques thread, but decided given enough time the things we collect will be antiques.

So, do you collect things? If not, why not. If so, what do you collect and why, how, where, when, from who, etcetera. What's in your closet?  Cheesy

I love Antiques Roadshow..
Because it reveals a lot of history and culture, and who doesn't want to know that they have something surprisingly valuable??

I collect comic books.. although its beginning to bore me.. theres a few I still enjoy reading.

Again, trying to remain detached from material possesions is difficult, and I have given up most things I have collected over the years, such as sports card, games, and such..

Maybe when I make a ton of money I can collect something fascinating like Indian artifacts.

I collect whatever suits me at the moment.

Mostly the unusual and hard-to-find in any particular category.  Smiley

Funny story. When I was a kid I collected boogers on the wall by my bed.  :-\No fascination with the boogers really, just too lazy to get up and get a tissue.  Grin But hey...a collection is a collection what?  Tongue

currently obsessing on the collecting of native wildflower seeds. in just a few short weeks i have amassed a collection that would be the envy of someone obsessed with collecting native wildflower seeds.  Tongue

tips for the obsessed native wildflower seed collector:

take a #10 business envelope and cut it in half on a line top-to-bottom. now observe the factory end and how it is cut & joined, and with scissors replicate those cuts on the new cut end. fold the new flap under as on the factory end and glue in place along the length. allow to dry thouroughly. write a description on the now twice as many new made littler envelopes, put your seeds in there, and voila! on your way to having a butt  load of crap you really don't need or have the space to store, and will likely never use.  Grin

i have developed a secret closet collection of colored tissue papers.  Roll Eyes i chop them into pieces and paste them down onto canvas. they give me those nice bright colors and the greens of summers & the yellows & reds & oranges of falls & makes you think all the world's a sunny day. Oh yeah!  Cheesy
