anyway, did you know that rice (or flax seed) + tube socks = nifty heating pad.
*wonders what old santa would think of the snazzy lace-up sock*

Again, I did not know that...  I suspect that on the ol' Wizzard seeing said lace-up hung by the chimney with care, that even he will be distracted long enough for you to pop out from behind the tree and count coup on the jolly elf's melon with a candycane sock of hot grain.

when it comes to sox i'd rather toss them on the checkout counter. (although a sock bazooka could provide hours of fun!)/not very handy with any sort of needle.
